Leap Year Baby Born at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center

It only happens every four years and what are the odds of being born on leap day?

For Brandon and Lauren Bergvall of Midlothian it was very special.  The leap year brought Mansfield a new resident at 3:13 p.m. on Feb. 29. Lauren Bergvall gave birth to a baby boy Lincoln Wyatt, at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 14.7 ounces and 21 inches long, Lincoln Wyatt was delivered by Erin Westerholm, DO.

His big sisters Quinn, four-years-old and Madden, two-years-old were thrilled to welcome their brother into the family.

The new parents received a new book, to help Lincoln get a head start on reading as part of the Read to Me program.  All babies born at Methodist Mansfield receive a new baby book provided by Methodist Mansfield, Mansfield Sunrise Rotary and Mansfield Independent School District to help them get a head start on reading.
